Academic streaming is the practice, starting in grade 9 in Ontario, of separating students into academic and non-academic courses. This practice disproportionately impacts students from low income and racialized families. This workshop will review recent research on streaming and support students, parents, and community allies to better understanding these inequities and how they can challenge the current system.
