Under the previous government, the Ministry of Education put in place an Engagement Paper highlighting a well-being strategy for schools. The aim was to deepen the understanding of well-being in Ontario schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12, alongside effective measures to support the paper. School boards followed, by putting into place, mental health and well-being initiatives to support student success. My interactive workshop will bring awareness around personal triggers, physiological factors associated with stress and simple de-escalation strategies to support stress management in classrooms and group settings. The workshop will also connect to the curriculum - Health and Language Arts.
